SpArt Awards

The 2011 SpArt (Sports/Arts) Training Awards  - Viva SpArt! Was held 29th June 2011. The evening was a great success with Northland Secondary College Live Production and Event students at the helm in terms of staging, entertainment and production! The Spanish theme was complimented with Tapas, Paella and Churros care of Spanish home catering, and washed down with Spanish imported wine and cerveza from The Spanish Acquisition.

Flamenco dancers and musicians set the mood in addition to Jenny Gray CEO of Zoos Victoria providing a compelling keynote address which inspired small business to follow in the Zoos success! The SpArt Awards celebrated excellence in vocational education in the creative and leisure industries and no less than ten award categories recognised 28 finalists in a competitive race to the finish!

All this and more took place within the atmospheric Fitzroy Town Hall situated in the Spanish heart of Melbourne.

About SpArt

The SpArt concept was created in 2005 to bring the creative and leisure industries together to celebrate their synergies. The first event included a two day conference, followed by an Awards night presentation. In recent years, SkillsHub has decided to continue the Annual Awards presentation and run a series of shorter workshops tailored to the needs of the industries we represent.

The SpArt Training Awards are an opportunity to shine a light on achievers, including students, trainees, employers and training providers in the vocational education and training sector. SpArt winners often become finalists at the Victorian State Training Awards. The SpArt Awards are now a fixture on the SkillsHub Calendar.
