Zoos Today - SkillUp Green
Zoos Victoria leads the way in conservation and sustainability
Zoos Victoria and other conservation-based organisations have a significant role to play in the transition to a low carbon, sustainable economy. SkillUp Green is a new Skills Victoria funded program designed to develop Zoos Victoria as leaders in conservation.
About the program
SkillsHub works in conjunction with these organisations to deliver government funded training and workforce development opportunities in conservation and skills for sustainability. Employees of Zoos Victoria require new training and knowledge to bring about this conservation agenda. SkillUp Green will upskill and multi-skill existing employees via a skills needs assessment and strategic training program.
Eligibility
SkillsHub will work with Zoos Victoria to determine staff members that may require additional skills in sustainability. SkillsHub will then assist staff members with eligibility criteria under the Victorian Training Guarantee for a funded training place.
